Antonin Langweil

A UNIQUE PAPER CITY   Antonin Langweil Self-portrait from 1830 , gouache on ivory, National Museum of Prague ; Langweil Anthony ( 13 June 1791 Postoloprty - 11 June 1837 Prague ) was a creator paper model of Prague made-in the years 1826 - 1837 , which shows the historical part of the city, including neighborhoods destroyed by redevelopment in the late 19th and 20th century . The model is known as Langweil model of Prague . A few years ago during his walks in the vicinity of Prague's finest prospects I thought: How nice it would have to be this sublime city in a small model! This idea I was engaged in a long time, but the choice of material for making the model seemed very difficult. After many failed attempts I gave up the idea slowly.
