Antonin Langweil
; Langweil Anthony ( 13 June 1791 Postoloprty - 11 June 1837 Prague ) was a creator paper model of Prague made-in the years 1826 - 1837 , which shows the historical part of the city, including neighborhoods destroyed by redevelopment in the late 19th and 20th century . The model is known as Langweil model of Prague .

years ago during his walks in the vicinity of Prague's finest prospects I
thought: How nice it would have to be this sublime city in a small
model! This idea I was engaged in a long time, but the choice of material for making the model seemed very difficult. After many failed attempts I gave up the idea slowly.
Even in successive views of Prague from Petrin Hill, which is the most
convenient place where you can overlook the whole city, I was glad I had
not done a great job.
This idea but not entirely forgotten, just dozing in my subconscious,
awoke again in 1826 and I immediately proceeded to implement it. The reason for this sudden initiative in Prague was exposed relief of Paris. He gave me courage to try and create something similar, or perhaps even better. To read on click HERE.
