My mind goes to David when he returned from an outing with his men to Ziklag and found that his entire house hold with those of his men had been taken captive.It was such a terrible thing that David was quite distressed and it became more distressing when the people he had assisted and helped in time past spoke of stoning him,yet David took them and taught them the ways of the Lord,helped them to believe in the God that delivered and gave him victory over lion,a bear and Goliath would also deliver and give them victory over anything.

God withdraws his
favour from Saul, king of Israel, "It
repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king, for he is turned back from
following me, and has not performed my commandments."[3] The prophet Samuel seeks a new king from the sons of Jesse of Bethlehem. Seven of Jesse's sons are led before

said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and behold, he keepeth the sheep. And
Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he
come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a
beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint
